Right Step offers a continuum of youth- and family-centered behavioral health services. All services are subject to individual eligibility determination, medical necessity review, authorization, and insurance verification.

Service 01

Outpatient Therapy & Behavioral Health Assessment

Our outpatient services provide flexible, individualized behavioral health care while allowing youth and families to maintain their daily routines. Appropriate for mild to moderate emotional or behavioral concerns, or youth needing continued support after a more intensive service.

Comprehensive biopsychosocial or clinical assessment
Individual therapy
Family therapy
Group therapy, when clinically appropriate
Collateral consultation and coordination with caregivers
Individualized treatment planning and progress monitoring
Psychiatric evaluation and medication-management referral
Flexible appointment scheduling, based on availability
Transportation assistance for eligible participants, when available

Evidence-Informed Approaches

Interventions may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, behavioral modification, and other approaches selected according to the youth's needs, age, diagnosis, strengths, and treatment goals.

Medication Services

When medication evaluation may support treatment, Right Step can coordinate or refer for psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management with qualified medical providers. Decisions are made collaboratively with the youth and legal guardian.

Service 02

Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program (TRP) Services

The Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program provides structured, skill-based behavioral health intervention for eligible youth who require intensive therapeutic engagement and rehabilitation support. Services are designed to improve day-to-day functioning, emotional regulation, behavioral stability, social skills, problem-solving, and independent living abilities.

Programming may be provided for up to 15 hours per week, based on medical necessity, authorization, and individualized treatment planning.

Coping-skills training and crisis-prevention education
Social-skills and healthy-relationship development
Psychoeducation
Life-skills, daily-living, and community-living training
Problem-solving and decision-making practice
Self-esteem, confidence, and resilience building
Nutrition education and healthy routine development
Trauma-informed and culturally responsive interventions
Parenting or caregiver relationship support, when appropriate

To create multiple pathways for learning and emotional expression, programming may incorporate:

Family & Team Collaboration

With appropriate consent, we coordinate with caregivers, school personnel, IEP teams, therapists, prescribers, DCBS workers, foster-care teams, and MCO care coordinators. Child and Family Team meetings may be scheduled regularly.
